Attended STGCC last weekends. Followed by CosFest which was held two months ago, it was another wonderful and enjoyable event, and not forget to mention how much my health has deterioriated due to the completion of each preparation done a few hours before each event.

On Saturday, the first day of STGCC
My dear friends and I cosplayed Dynasty Warriors series.
Me as Sun Ce (DW6)

as Sun Quan (DW6)

as Lu Xun (DW7)

as Sima Zhao (DW7)

as Wang Yuan Ji (DW7)
We also met another three lovely friends; Tenten Chan as Da Qiao (DW7), PuiYee as Sun Shang Xiang (DW6) and Sephora as Lu Bu (DW6), who did the same series. Not forget to mention how happy the Sun family members were 'cos everyone was here except our father Sun Jian who was protecting his precious big meatbun from bunglars at home.

I was so glad that the props did not fall apart this time. I actually did a trial photoshoot with ~
tenjin-kai the week before. My belt actually snapped, and could not hold the bottom armours plates to the chest plate. Spent almost 1 hour trying to fix this issue but failed. I miscalculated the length of the polearm so the support inside the weapon ended up too long. Imagine these shits happened during the event instead, I would definately change out immediately.

Before I end the report of this day, I must give myself a pat. As a fan of DW for years, it was a shame for me that this took me so long to cosplay this series. I did work out the preparation of another character previously but it was left aside a while later due to being inexperience in prop making that time. Making armours were definately challenging to someone who rarely made them in the past, like me. I did doubt myself whether I was able to make my Sun Ce cosplay come true, or was I a NATO (No Action, Talk Only) like before. I read online and checked out the cosplay magazines for any tutorial, learnt how my friends made their props, combined the methods with mine which I had been using for my past props, and did trials and errors before achieving the ideal results and finally get things done.
I am sorry if I sound like a kid who is overjoyed for scoring full marks in a spelling test but nothing can describe my joy to make my first DW cosplay of mine fulfilled, have a cosplay which consists almost 90% of my own workmanship, and also to cosplay this series with my awesome friends. I would have completely missed all these if I did quit this hobby earlier on. =/ I am more apologetic to ~
tenjin-kai and ~
Drefano for delaying the Sun family photoshoot. Anyway, Sun Ce is ready at anytime!

And oh, this was supposed to be the cosplay on the second day of CosFest, if anyone recalled my previous journal entry.

On Sunday, the second day of STGCC
*
keruuu and I cosplayed Mortal Kombat 9.
Me as Kung Lao

as Nightwolf (alternate outfit)
I almost could not do this cosplay as I spent too much time on my Sun Ce cosplay preparation. A big thank you to *
Meganelover and *
keruuu for aiding me in completing most of the unfinished parts of the armours to make this cosplay debut.

Pardon me for the missing details and especially my shagged face and limited poses. I only slept 2 hours before this event, and I was rushing to complete the preparation UNTIL the three of us set off to the convention. So I was not in my good condition throughout the entire event. >_< I will definately get everything done and make sure I have sufficient sleep before the photoshoot. Can't wait for it! HURHUR!

Not forget to mention,

as Okita Sougou (Gintama)

as Kubinashi (Nurarihyon No Mago) - A success in pulling off as your first short-hair character! 8D

as Okumura Rin from Ao No Exorcist

as Kratos (God of War)
And oh, how could Kung Lao, Nightwolf and Kratos not take photos together? m/
Last but not least,
Thanks alot to

,

and

for helping to take photos! It was nice hanging out together throughout the event! Can't wait for all of us to cosplay together soon!
